Quick Guide for users after purchase

1. Know the law:

https://www.gov.uk/mobility-scooters-and-powered-wheelchairs-rules

Class 2 = 4 mph pavement only

Class 3 = as Class 2, plus must have lights and mirrors and can then be used on some roads at max 8 mph, once registered with DVLA(no charge).

2. Other users:

- Be visible! Wear high visibility clothing!

- Allow for pedestrians who can't / don't see or hear you.

3. Know your vehicle:

Learn vehicle control and drive safely.

Know what your vehicle can, and can't do, and what you can and can't do.

4. Kit:

- Carry sticks / pickup tools as needed, plus a waterproof poncho, small first aid kit, puncture repair canister (if you don't have solid tyres). A small spares and tool kit is always sensible. Rig hooks and bags so that the chair or scooter takes the strain, not you! If you travel large distances, take a small charger, and a suitable lock.

If in doubt, ask!
